After Jay proved himself by showing up to Olivia's dinner party, Whitney soon learned she had reason to doubt him. During lunch with her former fling Alex, Whitney found out that her relationship with Jay may not be as solid as she thought. He asked her why they hadn't seen each other since she moved to New York and when she explained that she had been seeing Jay a lot, Alex was quick to enlighten her about the type of guy he thinks he is. Apparently Alex's roommate's best friend Danielle used to date Jay and the two recently ran into each other. Jay had mentioned he wasn't dating Whitney anymore and that he still loved the ex. Whitney was left confused and in the end told Alex, "I have to choose who I have to trust."

When we last saw the Walkers, they were celebrating Thanksgiving in the hospital cafeteria after Kevin gave a piece of his liver to save his <strike>niece</strike>daughter's life. (Read the full recap here.) This episode picks right up with Kevin recovering under the watchful (and overbearing) eye of Nora, who won't let Scotty help in the way he likes. Meanwhile, Justin gets dissed by a first grader, Nora gets an unwanted blast from the past, Robert and Kitty rekindle a part of their relationship they've been missing and Tommy and Kevin squabble over possible daddy issues created by Elizabeth's surgery (and the ensuing dreams Kevin now can't stop). And, of course, there was some Walker arguing. The holidays are over, so let's get to it.

Welcome to The City, where the girls are rich and the boys are hot. Right away a little voice-over from our girl Whitney introduced us to the main players that we'll get caught up in, yet never admit it, and follow all season long. There are the "downtown girls" like Erin, who loves boys. There are the "downtown guys" like Adam, a model who does whatever he wants whenever he wants and has a girlfriend who doesn't seem to like that. Then there is the "uptown crowd" that centers around Olivia, a socialite, or social as she likes to be referred to. And finally we have Jay, the boy Whitney met back on The Hills. He's everything she shouldn't be going after — young, good looking, and not used to having just 1 girlfriend.

The final Dirty Sexy Money of the year had a lot of explaining to do after last week's "Who Shot JR?" ending. It started on a hilarious foot with Jeremy, having fallen down the stairs, (technically, Nick threw him, to get him out of the way of Chase's bullet) waking with amnesia. That's so 80's soaps.
